Art Statement
Artist Statement My work is not about telling stories, but about sharing ideas of redemption, salvation, forgiveness, love, peace, and joy. I aim for simplicity and clarity in my abstract, recognizable forms. I create using oil paint and acrylic on canvas and paper. Through my paintings, I want to bring feelings of peace, quiet, joy, and faith to people. All my inspiration comes from the Bible, and my artistic style is uniquely my own. Van Gogh's letters were the spark and foundation for my artistic journey. Since I was 19, painting has been a part of my life, and it will continue to be for the rest of my days. (2019-2022) Over the course of the global pandemic, I have dedicated my time to creating a series of oil and acrylic landscape paintings inspired by the scenic vistas of Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Diego County in Southern California.
