3原来法利赛人和犹太人都拘守古人的遗传,若不仔细洗手就不吃饭;
8你们是离弃 神的诫命,拘守人的遗传”;
19因为不是入他的心,乃是入他的肚腹,又落到茅厕里(这是说,各样的食物都是洁净的)”;
20又说:“从人里面出来的,那才能污秽人;

Traditions and Commandments
1Now when the Pharisees gathered to him, with some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem,
2they saw that some of his disciples ate with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed.
3(For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands properly, holding to the tradition of the elders,
4and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions that they observe, such as the washing of cups and pots and copper vessels and dining couches.
5And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?”
6And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
“‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
7in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”
9And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!
10For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’
11But you say, ‘If a man tells his father or his mother, “Whatever you would have gained from me is Corban”’ (that is, given to God)
12then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
13thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”
What Defiles a Person
14And he called the people to him again and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand:
15There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him.”
17And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable.
18And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him,
19since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
20And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him.
21For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,
22coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.
23All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
(6-8) Hypocritical people's attitude towards God is true! On the one hand, he wants to worship God, but he actually idolates people. If people take human lessons (including ancient people/celebrities/saints, etc.) as the truth and discard God's admonitions, then it is futile to worship God in this way!
(9-13) The meaning behind these passages: People in religion are hypocritical and false. They believe that as long as they complete the "one-tenth of the dedication", they can no longer continue to serve and worship God: they admit that God is the Father, but behind their back, they resist Jesus, the son of the fleshed God, and crucify him.
The Pharisees said, "We were not born of fornication. We have only one Father, God" (John 8:41).
(John 8:42, Jesus said, "If God were your Father, you would love me; for I came from God and from God, not by myself, but He sent me.") (Matthew 23:9: "Don't call the people on earth the Father, for only one is your Father. , it is the Father in heaven.")
(14-23) The Lord Jesus taught people that as long as human beings have enough food, they can eat, because the food they eat does not pass through the heart, but through the intestines, and will be excreted after final digestion. Therefore, it's okay not to wash your hands/take a shower before eating, at least you won't dirty yourself or others. Behind this word is the hypocritical behavior of mocking the Pharisees and Jews: worshiping God in the mouth, but staying away from God in heart. There is no God in the heart, full of resistance to God, and what you say must be dirty God!
Of course, if things outside (such as words and behaviors) enter a person's body and pass through the heart, if this thing is dirty and evil, it will defile people.
Deeper understanding: The filth in a person's heart will definitely defile others, because one's own heart has long been dirty. The external behavior of the disciples is not the embodiment of faith, and the inner fullness is the basis for righteousness. Worship God, follow God, rejoice in God, see God, and witness that God comes from the inside out. Those who get the truth are the creation of people, and those who get the evil way are stumbling.

The Syrophoenician Woman’s Faith
24And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house and did not want anyone to know, yet he could not be hidden.
25But immediately a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit heard of him and came and fell down at his feet.
26Now the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.
27And he said to her, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
28But she answered him, “Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
29And he said to her, “For this statement you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter.”
30And she went home and found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.
(24) The Lord Jesus came to the cursed land of the Gentiles. Although he did not want to be known, he was still known by everyone. This corresponds to what was said earlier: the Lord Jesus is a bright light, a true light, even if hidden in the cupboard/under the bed, it can't stop the light.
(25-26) After hearing about the miracle of the Lord Jesus exorcising demons and saving people in the land of Israel, the Greek woman fell at the feet of the Lord Jesus and prayed for the Lord to help her little daughter possessed by demons.
(27) Jews are the children chosen by God, so they often despise the Gentiles as dogs in the mouth of Jews who think they are precious. "I was sent only to the lost sheep in the house of Israel" (Matthew 15:24). The bread is the spiritual food of God (and the body of the Lord Jesus). It is to let the Israelites be full first, not to give it to the Gentiles. Its spiritual meaning is that in God's plan of salvation, the salvation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus came to Israel first from the Jews.
(28) The attitude of Greek women is very decisive: I believe that the Lord Jesus has the power from God to exorcise demons and ghosts; I believe that the Lord Jesus will have mercy on the Gentiles and help the Gentiles.
(29-30) Because of the woman's faith, the Lord Jesus redeemed her little daughter across space. Here is a message revealed: the intercession of faith will also be answered by the Lord Jesus Christ. In addition, more importantly, due to the stubbornness of the Jews and the resistance to the identity of the Lord Jesus, the only son of God, God's redemption began to turn to the Gentiles, and the grace of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus began to be transferred to the Gentiles.

Jesus Heals a Deaf Man
31Then he returned from the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis.
32And they brought to him a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment, and they begged him to lay his hand on him.
33And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue.
34And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.”
35And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly.
36And Jesus charged them to tell no one. But the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it.
37And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
(31) The Lord Jesus continued to walk and preach in the Gentiles.
(32) Each of us is deaf and tongue-knotted. We can't hear God's words and can't hear the gospel of Christ; our tongues are knotted and we can't pray to God, we can't spread the grace of the gospel, and we can't communicate with our brothers and sisters.
(33-35)The purpose of Jesus leading him away from the crowd was so that this man could hear the voice of the Lord Jesus clearly when he was deaf. The Lord Jesus looked up to the sky and sighed. The Lord Jesus showed that all His power and power came from God the Father; at the same time, the Lord also sighed for our suffering from our original sins and diseases. The spiritual meaning behind Jesus' next two actions is that the Lord Jesus took the initiative to connect with this person. All the followers, prayers and worship of our believers, the most desired expectation is to get the response of the Lord Jesus Christ (connection with us).
(36-37)It is pleasing to the Lord to listen to Him and follow His ways. Those who live in religion are people who are suffering from ‘fever’, and they come to understand the truth of the Lord in the way the world understands it.
